Mooserock
Mooserock, our home in the bush of Maine, is just a few feet off a crystal clear spring-fed lake. We’re 17 miles from the nearest telephone pole. It’s pristine here. This place is an extraordinary vortex. No matter how challenging life gets, neither Ina nor I ever forget to be grateful to live in this sacred place. A small Honda generator, satellite dish and iMac keep open our window to the world and enable our work to continue moving forward even here in the middle of the woods. We had a conference call via skype with the co-founder and head of partner relations at Akvo.org and told them where we were—they thought we were pulling their leg! We told Jean Trudel of Cercle de Paix our living situation and he said, ‘that’s the vision of the future’. It’s largely about simplifying life, about being IN nature, about balance and sustainability and walking our talk and leading by example… it’s not always easy, but it’s delicious and alive and rich with the theatrical wonder of the universe- I’m attaching photos of the sunset I witnessed this evening.

Ina & I talk a lot about doing healing retreats out here, and if you’re reading this and are interested in learning more, let us know, because it’s feasible. Join us here in Eden for a night, a weekend or a week… re-charge your battery, find inner quietude, sit on top of the Oracle and listen deeply to the truth of your bones. We won’t even charge you a penny- would do it simply in exchange for a generous donation to The BARKA Foundation.
