At the same time, we are watchdogs to ensure the preservation of indigenous culture and identity. Hi-tech is the battleground for some of the most compelling issues in the field of development.

• We are guided on this issue by the villagers themselves.
• BARKA serves to mitigate the dangers of westernization, while working to accentuate the positive impacts to be had, such as connecting with the larger world, opening doors for education, and improving quality of life.
