Photo Club, Fada High School
Through BARKA’s relationship with Swampscott High School in Swampscott, MA, 12 cameras were donated to the public high school in Fada N’Gourma, Lycee Communal de Fada. Students formed a “Photo Club” and a visiting photographer from France, Henri Thierry, provided them with some lessons and basic training. The theme they chose was “How to Show Burkina Faso to the Rest of the World”. In other words, if there was just 1 photo to show what life in Burkina is really like, what would it be? This gallery is the students’ answer to that question.
